About the project
In 2022, the world has changed. The geopolitical situation, economic sanctions, and the departure of Western companies from the Russian market have become a new reality. At that moment, a group of RANEPA students asked themselves: how to protect business and the state in conditions when even the most popular messengers are no longer reliable? When large technology corporations left Russia, it became obvious that trust in foreign services is an illusion. Many companies were left without secure tools for internal communication. User data was either transferred to third parties or functionality was blocked. This was a challenge that required an immediate solution. The Birth of an Idea We realized that we needed to create a completely autonomous tool for secure communication within companies. This tool should be independent of external systems that can leak information or stop working at any time. The main goal was simple but ambitious: to build a messenger that will become a standard of security, privacy, and technological independence. The Path to Implementation The beginning was not easy. The team decided to take a difficult but correct path: to develop a messenger from scratch, using only their own developments and open source software solutions. This allowed them to create a product that is fully controlled by its creators and does not depend on foreign technologies. One of the key decisions was the development of a unique three-level encryption system. Advanced security technologies are used at each stage of data transfer. This system has become a real breakthrough, providing an unprecedented level of security. What have we done? We have created the messenger "Shopot" - a tool that: - Completely autonomous: the servers are located on the company's territory, and access to them is possible only through a physical console. - Uses a unique patented encryption technology that protects data today and in the future. - Provides all the necessary functions for comfortable work: text and voice messages, VOIP calls, file sharing of any size and group chats.
